Don't know what happened...

So on my, like, third play through of the entire Mass Effect series. I get to the final push of ME3. And I had more than sufficient galactic readiness! So someone please tell me how the fuck Shepard could lose his love interest! I am both mad and depressed now! And then after I get through that feel destruction: I figured out which of four endings I was gonna choose... AND THE GAME FUCKING WOULDN'T LET ME! THEY SAID, "There is only one solution..." WHICH JUST SO HAPPENS TO HAVE THE CHANCE SHEPARD LIVES! AFTER LOSING MY SQUAD AND LI, I DIDN'T WANT SHEPARD TO LIVE! So I refused. LIKE SERIOUSLY! WHY THE HELL DID I EVEN PLAY THE GAME AGAIN?!
